Brother, sister — if your business feels like a never-ending prayer for breakthrough while the bleeding continues, this is for you.
Most small businesses run on chaos disguised as Heroics, and Christian Owned companies are no different. No documented processes. No weekly rhythm. No visibility into what’s actually happening.
The owner prays, tithes, and silently askes for revelation — yet the team drifts, cash bleeds, legacy stalls. That is not divine order. That is disobedience tolerated.
Kyle Leek, Outreach Pastor at Second Baptist 1463 reminds us: God is the God of commerce. He is not a God of confusion (1 Cor 14:33). He demands order — decently and in order (1 Cor 14:40).
And He has given us tools to install that order.
This week we focus on two pillars of the Operating Compass and Management Operating System (MOS): Level 10 Meetings and the Scorecard.
These are not “meetings” and “reports.” They are covenant rhythm — divine order in motion. They are how you stop bleeding and start multiplying.
What Are Level 10 Meetings?
A Level 10 Meeting is a 90-minute weekly leadership huddle with a fixed, non-negotiable agenda. It’s called “Level 10” because when done right, it’s the highest-leverage 90 minutes of your week — a 10 out of 10 in value.
Core agenda (no exceptions, no side topics):
- Good News / Wins (1–2 min) — Celebrate God’s provision. Thank Him out loud.
- Scorecard Review (5 min) — Numbers don’t lie. Green = praise. Red = war room.
- Rocks Update (5 min) — 90-day priorities — on track or off?
- Headlines (5 min) — Customer, employee, market updates — no deep dives.
- To-Dos (5 min) — Last week’s commitments — done or not?
- IDS (Identify, Discuss, Solve) (60+ min) — The only allowed problem-solving method. Top issues only.
- Conclude (5 min) — Rate the meeting 1–10. End on time.
Why 90 minutes? Long enough to go deep, short enough to stay sharp. Why weekly? Momentum dies without rhythm. Order requires repetition.
Why Are Level 10 Meetings Needed?
Because “hope is not a plan.” Without weekly rhythm:
- Issues fester (90 days becomes 900 days).
- Drift creeps in (“we’ll get to it later”).
- Accountability evaporates (“we’re all sinners”).
- The owner becomes the bottleneck — chained to rescuing instead of leading.
L10s force truth in love. They expose bleeds early. They keep the team aligned on one mission, one message. They turn vision into execution. They are how you stop surviving and start multiplying.
Scripture tie: “Let all things be done decently and in order.” (1 Cor 14:40) Chaos is not spiritual. Order is worship.
How to Install Level 10 Meetings
- Commit publicly — Announce to leadership: “Starting next Monday, 90-minute L10 every week. No exceptions.”
- Lock the time — Same day, same hour, same room. 8 AM Mondays work for most.
- Print and post the agenda — No side topics. No “just one quick thing.”
- Train the team — First 2–4 weeks, you (or Integrator) facilitate. Teach IDS, Rocks, Scorecard.
- Rate every meeting — End with 1–10 score. Below 8? War room next week to fix it.
- Hold the line — Miss a meeting? Red flag. Cancel? Red flag. Late? Red flag.
- Celebrate wins — Every green Scorecard line, every Rock hit — stop and thank God out loud.
Do this for 90 days. You’ll never go back.
A Scorecard is a simple 10-line weekly dashboard of leading indicators. Not lagging (revenue last month). Leading (what predicts revenue next month).
Typical 10-KPI Scorecard lines (customize to your business):
- Weekly revenue bookings
- Customer satisfaction score
- New leads generated
- Conversion rate
- Average deal size
- On-time delivery %
- Employee engagement score
- Production output / units
- Cash flow projection accuracy
- P&L crossover day (goal ≤15)
Rule: Update every Monday. Green = praise God. Yellow = discuss. Red = war room.
Why needed? Numbers don’t lie. Hope does. A Scorecard forces truth. It shows drift before it kills.
How to Install a Scorecard
- Pick 10 leading KPIs — What predicts success? (Not just what happened last month.)
- Set goals — Realistic, measurable, weekly targets.
- Assign owners — One person responsible for each line.
- Update weekly — Monday morning, no excuses.
- Review in L10 — 5 minutes max. Green = celebrate. Red = IDS.
- Trend it — Keep historical view. Spot patterns.
- Adjust quarterly — Re-evaluate KPIs during off-sites.
Do this, and chaos loses its grip. Order takes root. Multiplication follows.
